Principal Infrastructure Engineer

SciTec has an immediate opening for an Infrastructure Principal Engineer to work with the Infrastructure Team Lead responsible for global configuration management and task execution across multiple locations and compliance environments. Responsibilities: The Infrastructure Principal Engineer will support various infrastructure and compute requirements across multiple locations. This person will have expertise in building and maintaining infrastructure platforms based on technologies such as VMWare, Linux and Windows. They will embody eagerness to create and own processes for enhancing the team and streamlining processes. Design, deploy and maintain functional systems and private cloud platforms as a member of the corporate infrastructure team supporting custom applications and DevOps processes Resolve issues escalated by lower service desk tiers by troubleshooting deployed, cloud, and local infrastructure Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness Mentor team members on technical issues Create, oversee, and test security measures (e.g., access authentication and disaster recovery) Communicate with users to design and field optimal solutions Design and implement solutions to deliver superior system performance, capacity and scalability Maintain complete technical documentation in support of Authorization To Operate (ATO) packages Other duties as assigned 5+ years actively deploying and/or maintaining technologies such as VMWare, Linux, Windows, OpenShift, or Kubernetes 10+ years of total professional experience Excellent organizational and mentoring skills Detail oriented Good verbal and written communication skills An active DoD Secret security clearance or higher Candidates meeting the following criteria will be preferred 2+ years of team lead experience Security+ Certification Experience managing storage appliances Linux, VMWare, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Windows Certifications SciTec offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including: 4% Safe Harbor 401(k) match 100% company paid HSA Medical insurance, with a choice of 2 buy-up options 80% company paid Dental insurance 100% company paid Vision insurance 100% company paid Life insurance 100% company paid Long-term Disability insurance 100% company paid Hospital Indemnity insurance Voluntary Accident and Critical Illness insurance Short-term Disability insurance Annual Profit-Sharing Plan Discretionary Performance Bonus Paid Parental Leave Generous Paid Time Off, including Holiday, Vacation, and Sick Pay Flexible Work Hours The pay range for this position is $149,000 - $184,000 / year.
