Work directly with the Doctor to prepare patients to be seen. Check vital signs, weight, height, etc. Check the medicines that are being taken and if anything is new. Brief questions about purpose of the visit. Escort patient to exam room and have patient disrobe as needed.
In between these tasks, return or answer patient calls as needed to relay test results, answer questions and arrange outpatient tests as needed.
As needed help the receptionist with phone calls, filing, etc.
The position is meant to be full time, but it may be possible to have less hours, if needed, for the right candidate.
