Stoa Group is hiring a Lead Apartment Maintenance Technician for The Waters at Promenade, our 324-unit luxury apartment community in Marrero, Louisiana.This is a hands-on position for an experienced apartment maintenance professional who can troubleshoot repairs, provide excellent service to residents, and help guide the maintenance team. You will work on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, apartment turns, preventive maintenance, and general property upkeep.What We Offer$20-24 per hour, based on experience and certificationsEligibility for a monthly maintenance incentive poolAdditional pay for participating in the rotating on-call scheduleA four-day weekend following each completed on-call rotation100% employer-paid health insurance for employeesDental and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off and paid holidaysEmployee apartment discountProfessional development and advancement opportunitiesCompany -supported training and certificationsWhat You'll DoComplete service requests involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other general repairsDiagnose maintenance problems and determine the appropriate repairPrepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing make-ready repairs and inspectionsPerform preventive maintenance to extend the life of community systems and equipmentWalk the property regularly to identify cleanliness, safety, maintenance, and curb-appeal concernsCommunicate with residents professionally and provide updates regarding repairsTrack, prioritize, and close service requests using property-management softwareHelp train, mentor, and support other maintenance team membersCoordinate work and delegate assignments when the Service Manager is unavailableParticipate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.What We're Looking ForTwo or more years of hands-on apartment, residential, hotel, or facilities maintenance experienceWorking knowledge of HVAC troubleshooting, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, painting, and apartment turnsEPA Section 608 certification or the ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hireStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and help guide other maintenance team membersProfessional communication skills and a resident-service mindsetComfortable using a smartphone and property-management software to manage service requestsReliable transportation to and from the property, including responding to after-hours emergenciesAvailability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and a rotating on-call scheduleAbility to perform the physical requirements of apartment maintenance work, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, and working indoors and outdoorsPreferred QualificationsHands -on HVAC diagnostic and repair experiencePrevious apartment or multifamily maintenance experiencePrevious lead, mentoring, or supervisory experienceHigh school diploma or equivalentAbout Stoa GroupStoa Group is a vertically integrated real estate company that develops, builds, and operates multifamily communities throughout the Gulf Coast and beyond.
