Agriculture MillwrightThe Agriculture Millwright is responsible for the construction, installation, assembly, and servicing of grain handling systems, grain bins, grain elevators, conveyors, and related agricultural equipment. This role works on-site at farms, commercial grain facilities, and agribusiness locations to erect steel structures, install mechanical equipment, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.ResponsibilitiesAssemble and erect grain bins, grain legs (bucket elevators), catwalks, support structures, and towers.Install grain handling equipment including conveyors, augers, dryers, distributors, and material handling systems.Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and equipment specifications.Align, level, and secure structural and mechanical components.Perform rigging, hoisting, and lifting operations using cranes, telehandlers, and other equipment.Install and repair bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, motors, and drive components.Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and metal fabrication as required.Troubleshoot and repair grain handling equipment during service calls.Inspect completed installations to ensure quality standards and operational performance.Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.Travel to customer sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Essential SkillsExperience in millwright work, steel erection, agricultural construction, or industrial installation.Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools.Valid driver's license.Ability to work at heights and climb ladders, catwalks, and grain structures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience constructing grain bins and grain elevator facilities.Welding certification or welding experience.Crane signaling and rigging experience.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.Experience operating telehandlers, forklifts, boom lifts, and skid steers.Why Work Here?If you're looking for a rewarding career where you can develop valuable skills, work outdoors, and be part of building essential agricultural infrastructure, we'd love to have you on our team.Work EnvironmentOutdoor construction sites.Agricultural facilities, farms, grain elevators, and commercial grain operations.Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak construction seasons.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Heyworth, IL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
