Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg - Oncology RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of Med-Surg/Oncology experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Surgical/Oncology unit caring for orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical patients
• Level 3 Trauma Center setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR
• Administers drips including Heparin, PCA, and epidural; chemo administration if certified

Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS may be obtained during onboarding)
• 2+ years of Med-Surg and/or Oncology experience required
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• High-acuity care experience preferred
• Supervisory reference/performance evaluation from within the last two years required
• Valid driver's license required

Additional Information

• Contribute professional clinical knowledge and skills as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limited to 1 day off request during the Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year holiday blackout periods
• Past UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months
