Accounts Receivable Specialist

Work Location 3 MacArthur Place, Santa Ana, CA, USA Work Schedule Fully Onsite - 5 days Education and Years of Experience Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related financial discipline field, minimum Associates degree 3+ years accounts receivable, credit, and/or collections experience in a high volume B2B environment required Top Skills Attention to detail and critical thinking Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed Excel and SAP is required Role Responsibilities Oversee customer AR and manage collection efforts, including contacting customers via phone or e-mail and providing backup information such as invoice copies and warranty information Manage the A/R Confirmations process and assist with internal and external audits Follow and manage delinquent accounts, including coordinating with collection agencies and providing necessary information to facilitate collection Provide additional reporting and support initiatives for stakeholders such as credit department, RSM, and accounting management Support payment and adjustment processes for AR posting and clearing suspense accounts Perform detailed analysis and obtain backups based on policy for issuance of credit or debit memos Lead ad hoc projects independently and drive cross‑functional collaboration with other departments as needed Assist the Finance Manager in training, developing, and delegating tasks to the AR team as team lead Skills and Qualifications Associate’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related financial discipline field 5+ years accounts receivable, credit, and/or collections experience in a high volume B2B environment required Must have experience with medium to high level of MS Office Suite Proficiency in Excel is a firm requirement SAP experience is required Necessary Skills / Attributes Strong accounting understanding Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and maintain frequent external contacts High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills Ability to work independently or as a team member #J-18808-Ljbffr
