Immigration Paralegal

Ybarra Maldonado Law Group is seeking an exceptional Bilingual (English/Spanish) Immigration Paralegal to join our growing Immigration Department. Experience in Removal/Deportation Defense is required. Position Summary The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about immigration advocacy. This position requires a self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple deadlines, and is committed to delivering outstanding client service. Primary Responsibilities Prepare and file immigration applications and petitions with government agencies. Draft legal documents for attorney review. Conduct legal research as needed. Manage case files and maintain accurate records. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and government agencies. Assist attorneys with case preparation and deadlines. Perform administrative tasks including filing, scanning, copying, and document organization. Required Immigration Experience Removal/Deportation Defense experience is required. Candidates should have experience with several of the following: Removal/Deportation Defense Cancellation of Removal Bond Packets Asylum Applications Motions to Reopen and Motions to Reconsider U Visas Family-Based Petitions Adjustment of Status Consular Processing DACA Permanent Residency Naturalization FOIA Requests Qualifications Bilingual (English/Spanish) required Minimum 2 years of immigration law experience required , with substantial experience in Removal Defense Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong writing, editing, and internet research skills Professional demeanor and positive attitude Ability to receive constructive feedback Strong work ethic with an “all-in” team mentality Self-starter who takes initiative and works independently Reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn Work Schedule Full-Time Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Willingness to work evenings and Saturdays when necessary How to Apply Interested applicants should submit the following: Resume Cover letter describing your interest in the position and outlining your relevant experience.
