About the Position

As an Insurance Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing new business while building long-term relationships with existing clients. You will use a consultative approach to understand clients' needs, recommend appropriate coverage, and identify opportunities for account growth.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

New Business Sales

• Generate new Property & Casualty business through outbound calls, referrals, prospecting, networking, inbound leads, and other sales activities.

• Consult with prospects to understand their insurance needs and exposures.

• Prepare and present customized insurance proposals.

• Follow up consistently with prospects and manage opportunities through the sales process.

• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects.

• Meet or exceed established sales and production goals.

Cross-Selling & Account Growth

• Identify opportunities to provide clients with additional personal and commercial insurance products.

• Educate clients about potential coverage gaps and available solutions.

• Proactively review accounts to uncover additional sales opportunities.

• Build deeper client relationships by understanding their evolving insurance needs.

Insurance & Account Management

• Gather accurate underwriting information and complete applications and submissions.

• Review quotes, coverage options, limits, deductibles, exclusions, and endorsements with clients.

• Maintain accurate client and prospect information in the agency management system.

• Stay informed about carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and industry developments.

• Follow agency procedures and applicable insurance regulations.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of sales experience (inside/outside sales, business, retail, door to door)

• Active Property & Casualty insurance license (Obtain in 2 weeks)

• Proven ability to generate new business and close sales.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A consultative, relationship-focused approach to selling.

• Comfortable making outbound calls and proactively developing business.

• Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail.

• Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented.

• Ability to manage multiple prospects, clients, and opportunities.

• Proficiency with agency management systems, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and related technology.
