Solve Real Engineering Challenges.We're seeking a highly skilled Advanced Systems Technician to join a fast-paced, prototype-driven engineering team developing next-generation hardware systems. This role combines electrical assembly, mechanical integration, fluid systems, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and testing into one hands-on position with significant ownership and visibility.You'll work side-by-side with engineers to build, integrate, debug, and validate complex electrical and mechanical systems in demanding environments. From wiring harnesses and control panels to pressure systems, instrumentation, and test infrastructure, you'll play a critical role in turning concepts into field-ready hardware.This is an ideal opportunity for a technician who enjoys variety, thrives on solving difficult problems, and takes pride in building things the right way.ResponsibilitiesBuild, wire, and troubleshoot complex electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and cable assembliesAssemble and wire control panels, PLC cabinets, and industrial electrical equipmentPerform soldering, PCBA rework, and fine-pitch component repairsAssemble mechanical, fluid, and pressure systems including valves, tubing, piping, pressure vessels, and heat exchangersInstall sensors, instrumentation, controls, and data acquisition hardwareExecute tubing and piping integration including routing, cutting, bending, and fittingPerform pressure testing, leak detection, hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, and system validationTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and integration issues during build and test activitiesRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, assembly documentation, and P&IDsUtilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve system issuesSupport system bring-up, integration, and testing alongside engineering teamsIdentify design, reliability, fit-up, or tolerance issues and recommend practical improvementsPerform basic fabrication and modification work including drilling, cutting, mounting, and assembly supportMaintain accurate build records, labeling, documentation, and traceability requirementsHelp establish clean, organized, and scalable lab and shop processesMaintain a safe working environment while operating high-pressure and high-temperature systemsRequired Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly, electronics, mechanical integration, fluid systems, testing, or a related technical roleExperience building and troubleshooting complex electrical and/or mechanical systemsStrong understanding of wiring, connectors, crimping, grounding, shielding, and cable managementExperience with soldering and electronic assembly techniquesAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and P&IDsExperience using test and diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes and multimetersExperience with system validation, troubleshooting, pressure testing, or leak detectionStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to workmanship qualityAbility to operate independently in a rapidly changing prototype environmentStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with engineering teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience with high-pressure, thermal, industrial, marine, subsea, aerospace, energy, or other high-reliability systemsFamiliarity with industrial controls, PLCs, sensors, and data acquisition systemsExperience with Swagelok fittings, tubing systems, and fluid system best practicesKnowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation and troubleshootingOrbital tube welding or other high-reliability welding experienceManual machining or light fabrication experience (lathe, mill, drill press, etc.)HVAC or refrigeration system experienceExperience supporting custom test infrastructure and engineering laboratoriesFamiliarity with quality, traceability, and documentation standards in regulated or high-reliability environmentsWhy Work Here?Work directly on cutting-edge hardware and advanced engineering projectsPartner closely with electrical, mechanical, and test engineersOwn projects from assembly through validation and deploymentSolve challenging technical problems every dayContribute in a highly visible role where your expertise drives hardware successCompetitive pay of $40-$50/hrOpportunity to grow alongside an innovative engineering team developing complex real-world systemsIf you're the type of technician who enjoys building, troubleshooting, integrating, and pushing hardware to the next level, we'd love to hear from you.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
