Dr. Frizzell and the Office Manager will provide thorough training to help the right person excel at the following:
One hour per patient for thorough radiographs including CBCT, intraoral and extraoral photography, and arch scans for STL file capture—laying the foundation for advanced treatment planning such as implants and clear aligners.
Playing a pivotal role in case coordination with Dr. Frizzell, initiating conversations around elective treatments like whitening, veneers, cosmetic cases, implants, All-on-X, and over-dentures.
Working seamlessly with the team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, driving successful patient outcomes.
Understanding insurance, financing, and payment options to facilitate patient acceptance of extensive treatments.

Job Description
Position Summary:
Full-time Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) who is not only clinically proficient but also passionate about a comprehensive, integrated approach to patient care. This unique role involves a combination of preventative hygiene, detailed diagnostic imaging, treatment coordination, and active participation in complex case planning. The ideal candidate will bring a patient-centered, confident, and collaborative spirit to the team, with a talent for opening conversations about cosmetic, implant, and orthodontic treatments. They will work four days a week, 8AM-5PM, and be fully engaged with the team and patients to elevate our practice’s standards.

Clinical Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Diagnostics:
Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments & charting for accurate diagnosis and periodontal treatment planning
Conduct prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, fluoride, and sealants
Take and interpret diagnostic digital radiographs (diagnostic quality, retaken as needed)
Capture intraoral and extraoral photographs, scan arches for STL files
Use intraoral cameras, advanced imaging, and scanning tools to facilitate precise diagnostics and planning
Document all care thoroughly, including patient conversations and subtext relevant to future treatment planning
Preventive & Education:
Deliver patient education on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and treatment options
Present professional whitening and cosmetic treatment options
Schedule for future appointments with accurate codes, time slots, and recall strategies
Advanced Treatment Planning & Coordination:
Collaborate closely with Dr. Frizzell on treatment planning for complex cases
Initiate patient conversations about cosmetic, implant, orthodontic, and full-mouth rehab treatments
Coordinate large-scale treatments, ensuring seamless communication between patient, doctor, and team
Assist in explaining insurance coverage, financing options, and treatment benefits to patients
Infection Control & Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure sterilization, maintenance, and cleanliness of all clinical equipment
Monitor and report issues with dental instruments and sterilizers
Operational Responsibilities:
Team Collaboration & Communication:
Engage actively in team huddles; contribute suggestions for improving practice flow
Maintain positive, professional relationships with colleagues
Manage scheduling effectively, including patient flow, time off, and special case coordination
Help train and mentor team members on clinical protocols and office procedures
Inventory & Technology:
Oversee supply inventory, notify of needs or expirations, suggest improvements
Maintain competence in all clinical computer software, including Dentrix, Dexis, DTX Studio, Bola Voice, and imaging software
Additional Duties:
Assist with weekly office cleaning and sterilization procedures
Complete ongoing continuing education and licensure requirements
Support the practice in achieving operational excellence and exceptional patient experience
Qualifications:
Current Register of Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in New Mexico
Proficiency in digital radiography, intraoral photography, STL arch scans, and imaging software (We will train the right person)
Knowledge of insurance, patient financing, and case presentation (We will train the right person)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Commitment to exceptional patient care and continuous learning

There may be one day a week where the doctor is doing bigger surgeries and does not want to conduct hygiene checks.
