Are you an experienced pastry chef who is looking to make some extra money creating fun and new seasonal desserts? Well look no further!
Hufft Marchand Hospitality is looking for an experienced Pastry Chef to consult / work part time and produce some new ice creams flavors and seasonal desserts for our restaurant group. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary arts with a passion for sweet and delicious creations. Job Description:- Coming up with and creating new recipes for different dessert items that we may need, including but not limited to cakes, pies, pastries and ice creams.
- Costing of new recipes
- Training our kitchen and commisary team on producing the new recipes.
- Developing and creating seasonal dessert menus and recipes with our Executive Chefs and teams at the stores.
Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in a restaurant with a focus on pastry, with at least 2 years of having managerial responsibilities
- A genuine passion and knowledge for food and pastries
- Prior experience with laminated dough, cakes, ice cream, chocolate, and sugar work
- Knowledge of how to work with a dough sheeter and depositor is a plus
- Dependable and hard-working
- Sociable and friendly
