The Senior New Hire Conflicts Manager is responsible for managing the conflicts clearance process, ensuring compliance with ethical standards, and maintaining the integrity of the firm's client relationships. The Senior New Hire Conflicts Manager, under the supervision of the Director of New Business Intake, will lead a team dedicated to the efficient and thorough review of new hire conflicts, ensuring alignment with the firm's risk management policies. The Senior New Hire Conflicts Manager will work with the Director of New Business Intake to identify related strategic needs and plans; develop strategies, policies, procedures, and programs to meet these needs and ensure consistent and seamless delivery; maintain a commitment to the firm’s culture of excellence and service; and demonstrate objectivity and professionalism while acting in the best interest of the firm.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage the New Hire Conflicts team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.Oversee the conflicts clearance process for new hires, ensuring thorough and timely identification and resolution of potential conflicts of interest.Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures related to new hire conflicts. Ensure these policies are communicated effectively across the firm.Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements related to conflicts of interest. Stay informed of changes in relevant laws and regulations.Work closely with hiring partners, legal staff, and other departments to facilitate the smooth onboarding of new hires. Ensure all stakeholders are informed and involved as necessary.Leverage technology to streamline the conflicts clearance process. Implement and manage software solutions that support the efficient handling of conflicts.Develop and deliver training programs for staff on conflicts clearance procedures and compliance requirements.Prepare and present regular reports on new hire conflicts activities, including metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.Continuously evaluate and improve the conflicts clearance process to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and support the firm's growth objectives.Maintain confidential information.Effectively leverage each member of the team to execute on firm initiatives.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent understanding of attorney ethics and conflicts of interest and compliance in a legal or professional services context.Proficiency in using technology to manage and streamline business processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Proficiency in relevant software and tools.Strong commitment to ethical conduct and organizational values.Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of identifying issues, developing creative and effective solutions, and resolving conflicts of interest through acceptable and practical business solutions.Combination of strategic thinking and leadership, as well as the willingness and ability to participate “hands on” when required.Committed to high standards of excellence and proven results.High level of integrity and professionalism; proven track record in gaining trust and credibility and partnering collaboratively with leaders.Ability to relate to individuals at all levels, internally and externally and build productive relationships; ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize and change priorities when necessary while remaining composed and providing leadership and guidance.High level of energy and professionalism with well-developed interpersonal strengths.Education and/or Experience: Juris Doctorate degree required.Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment.Prior experience in a role related to lateral attorney hire conflicts clearance required.#LI-HybridThe Firm will comply with any applicable city or state workplace mandates in effect in regards to Covid-19.
