Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Carson City, NV 89706 Contract: 5 MonthsShift time: StandardWork Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 40 hrs./week | 30-minute lunchJob SummaryThe Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs machinery, production equipment, and facility structures. This position will primarily perform painting duties while also completing minor maintenance tasks as needed.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair machinery such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and equipment.Perform maintenance and repairs to the physical structures of the facility.Primarily perform painting while also completing minor maintenance work.Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.Conduct tests to locate mechanical system malfunctions.Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to identify causes of trouble.Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Examine the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.Repair or replace defective parts.Install special functional and structural parts in devices.Lubricate and clean parts.Use machine tools in installation, maintenance, or repair.Start devices to test their performance.QualificationsEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).Minimum of five (5) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical DemandsRegularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.Frequently stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Occasionally talk, hear, taste, or smell.Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Occasionally lift and/or move up to 90 pounds.Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
