Operations Lead – Data Platforms (Banking) Location: Charlotte, NC or New York, NY (Hybrid) Contract: 12 Months (Likely Extension) The Opportunity Our banking client is seeking an experienced Operations Lead to oversee the day-to-day operation of several strategic enterprise data platforms. This is a Business as Usual (BAU) contract role, responsible for leading the operational support function across critical data platforms. You'll manage a team of Business Analysts and Engineers, act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, and ensure operational processes are delivered efficiently while driving continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have a strong background in banking technology , data platforms , and operations management , with experience leading teams in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Responsibilities Lead the BAU support and operation of enterprise data platforms. Manage a team of Business Analysts and Technical Engineers supporting production services. Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technology teams. Own operational governance, service delivery, and prioritisation of BAU activities. Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes. Drive continuous service improvement and operational efficiencies. Monitor SLAs, KPIs, service performance, and operational reporting. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful transition of new capabilities into BAU support. Manage operational risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations. Ensure services meet regulatory, governance, and operational standards expected within a banking environment. Technology Environment The successful candidate will support teams working across: Databricks IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) Hands-on technical expertise is not essential, but candidates should have experience leading operational teams supporting enterprise data platforms. Required Experience Proven experience as an Operations Lead, Data Operations Manager, Technology Operations Manager, or similar. Strong background supporting enterprise data platforms within a banking or financial services environment. Experience managing teams of Business Analysts, Support Analysts, and Technical Engineers. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both business and technology leaders. Experience managing BAU operations, production support, service delivery, and operational governance. Strong understanding of ITIL principles, incident management, problem management, and change management. Ability to prioritise competing operational demands while maintaining service stability. Preferred Experience Banking or Capital Markets experience. Exposure to Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (DIP). Experience with Collibra Data Quality. Knowledge of Databricks. Familiarity with IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW). Experience supporting enterprise data governance or data management platforms. #J-18808-Ljbffr
