Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a Accounting Manager for an excellent position located near Ontario, CA or the surrounding area. This is a key leadership role partnering with company executives, driving strategy, and financial integrity across operations and support functions. Responsibilities include: Oversee daily accounting operations such as G/L management, A/P, A/R, payroll, month-end, budgeting, and forecasting. Responsible for all cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, job costing, and manufacturing cost optimization. Maintain internal controls, support audits, and lead management of surplus and outdated inventory to protect financial performance. Collaborate with operations, engineering, quality, and commercial teams to improve business results through financial analysis and continuous improvement. Utilized systems for accurate costing, inventory valuation, operational analytics, and reporting. Partner with production operations and corporate teams. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree required, Accounting major highly preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in an accounting leadership/ownership or Plant Controller level role. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and surplus/obsolete inventory management. Experience with cost accounting and manufacturing industry preferred. Comfortable with ERP and financial reporting systems. Proven leadership and influence skills to partner effectively across departments and with senior leadership.
