CVICU Registered Nurse

Assignment Details

Patient ratio: 1:2

Requirements

• Must have state or compact nursing license in hand at time of submittal
• ACLS, BLS certifications required
• 2 years ICU/CVICU experience preferred
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios required
• Experience in community hospital, LTAC, or Trauma I/II preferred
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Key clinical skills: ECMO care, ventilator management, arterial line management, central line/PICC management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, IABP and Swan-Ganz monitoring, post-cardiac surgery care, continuous IV sedation

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes
• Administer medications and treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans

Compliance / Notes

All requested time off must be listed at time of submittal. Previous facility staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler. Onboarding items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Orientation modules are completed onsite.
