The appointment will be in theDepartment of Physics ( at Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas, under the supervision of Dr. Nikoleta Theodoropoulou: The position is available immediately with a starting salary of $60,000 per year with the possibility of extension based on external funding and performance. Research will be conducted in research facilities for thin film deposition ( MBE and sputtering), electrical transport measurements, cleanroom fabrication and materials characterization. The successful candidate will have access to shared research facilities including X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and cryogenic measurement systems. Additional information about shared research facilities may be found here: Required Qualifications Candidates must have a Ph.D. in physics, materials science, or a closely related field. Preferred Qualifications Specializing in experimental condensed matter physics or materials science. Experienced in thin film growth ( MBE ) and characterization. Experienced in cleanroom device fabrication, and electrical transport measurements at cryogenic and room temperature.
