Specific Requirements:

1) One (1) year food experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).

General Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Work with the facility's Dietitian/Director of Food Services as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.

2) Ensure that all food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.

3) Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.

4) Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.

5) Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedure.

6) Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.

7) Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.

8) Sweep and mop floors as directed.

9) Carry soiled utensil, etc,. to wash area.

10) Return clean utensils to proper storage areas.

11) Wash and clean utensils as directed.

12) Carry out garage and keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazardous equipment, supplies, etc.

13) Set up meal trays, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed.

14) Assist cook in preparing meals.

15) Distribute and collect menus as necessary.

16) Obtain food supplies for next meal.

17) Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
