Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital support to students in a dynamic urban district, with two full-time positions available at the middle and elementary school levels. As an onsite school social worker, you’ll play a critical role in fostering strong relationships between students, families, and school staff, ensuring that every learner receives the wraparound support necessary for success.
Qualifications:
- Active Master of Social Work (MSW) license in Pennsylvania
- Previous school-based social work experience is required
- Must meet PA Department of Education criteria:
- Hold a valid, active PA School Social Worker Educational Specialist certificate
- Or be an LSW or LCSW and enrolled in a PDE-approved social worker program
- Ability to obtain or complete all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Comfortable and effective working within an urban, diverse school community
- Ready to begin as soon as possible and available through June 10, 2027
- Must be able to commit to full-time hours (37.5 hours per week), onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:30AM–4:00PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive school social work services to students in need
- Collaborate proactively with educators, administrators, and families
- Conduct assessments, provide interventions, and create supportive plans
- Promote equity, well-being, and resilience across the school community
- Serve as a resource for behavioral and mental health matters
- Maintain detailed, confidential records to meet compliance requirements
