Account Manager II

As a member of a sales team, the sales professional is responsible for maintaining and deepening customer relationships. Provides face-to-face customer contact in an assigned market-based geographic territory (major and metro markets) to achieve personal and company sales goals for small to mid-sized customers.

Essential Functions

• Maintains existing business by developing an understanding of the customer’s business and supply chain through research and customer interaction, analyzing customer needs and developing and implementing solutions.
• Coordinates and collaborates with internal teams, such as sales counterparts and operations as well as other internal partners to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience
• Mid-level negotiation skills needed to offer fair, competitive market-based pricing within parameters set by FedEx. Will occasionally need to negotiate strategic pricing for select customers.
• Leverages new and existing technology tools such as internal systems, mobile devices, and PowerPoint.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree/equivalent (Equivalency reflected under minimum experience)

Minimum Experience (in lieu of bachelor’s degree)

Four (4) years of business-to-business sales experience OR two (2) years of the Company's business-to-business sales experience required.

Job Conditions

Moderate overnight travel required.

Preferred Qualifications: Customer account management or relationship management experience; Experience onboarding new customers, clients, or accounts; Success growing existing customer relationships or revenue; CRM and account planning experience; Cross-functional collaboration to support customer success; Experience in the wine industry a plus. Relocation may be available based on business need.

Pay Transparency:

Pay: $5,534.38/mo - $7,846.35/mo

Additional Details: This is a customer-facing role that requires regular in person meetings. Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of Petaluma or Pacheco, CA or surrounding cities within the territory. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Actual pay is determined by several job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, including, but not limited to, experience relative to the job, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. In California, the compensation listed reflects the range or rate of pay reasonably expected for this posted position upon hire. In New Jersey, any compensable Security and Walk time will be paid to non-exempt/hourly employees at the state minimum wage.
