Job Title: CNC Programmer Location: Buffalo, NY Employment Type: Direct hire Industry: Manufacturing Compensation: $ 80,000-120,000 Schedule: 1st shift

Position Summary:
As a Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer, you'll be at the forefront of both new product development and continuous
improvement of existing manufacturing processes. You'll work hands-on with milled parts, applying advanced CNC
programming and machining knowledge to solve challenges and optimize performance. This position applies advanced
engineering principles, technical knowledge, and independent judgment to develop, analyze, improve, and troubleshoot
complex manufacturing and CNC machining processes. The Manufacturing Engineer/CNC Programmer independently
evaluates manufacturing requirements, develops solutions to complex production challenges, and makes recommendations
regarding tooling, processes, manufacturability, equipment, and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Develop and optimize CNC Mill machining processes for both new and legacy components
* Create detailed CNC programs and manufacturing instructions that meet rigorous engineering specifications
* Define operation sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements for precision part fabrication
* Troubleshoot shop floor issues, including tooling, gauging, workholding, and inspection challenges
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing problems and enhance producibility
* Create detailed operation sheets and NC programs to produce high-precision machined parts and sub-assemblies
* Review engineering drawings for manufacturability and recommend design improvements
* Assist in the creation of machine-ready code and be hands-on in the production environment, assisting with program
prove-outs and troubleshooting
* Estimate setup/run times and tooling hours; contribute to cost estimation for new business proposals
* Mentor and lead continuous improvement initiatives in processes and equipment
* Exercises independent technical judgment in analyzing manufacturing problems and determining appropriate
machining processes, tooling strategies, workholding methods, programming approaches, and process
improvements

Qualifications & Background
* A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or mechanical , manufacturing, or industrial engineering
* Three (3) or more years experience CNC Programming using CAD/CAM software

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with machine automation integration
* Skills in inspection of machined parts
* Hands-on experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles; Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus * Proficiency in CNC Mill Machining
* Hands-on experience with machine setup and operation
