General Operations Manager Title: General Operations Manager Department: 3157 - ECDC Administration Reports To: Jaime Sanacore Location: South Brunswick, NJ Shift: Monday-Friday Grade Level: 23 Employment Type: Full Time Exempt Proposed Salary Range: $130,000.00-$140,00.00 The General Operations Manager provides overall leadership, management, and strategic direction to maintain inventory accuracy and set daily production schedules for all distribution and transportation operations. Responsibilities Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic distribution environment Make people-centered decisions and take action with empathy and care Stay ahead of a 20% year-over-year growth rate Demonstrate a strong commitment to both internal and external customers Ensure consistency and reliability in distribution processes Communicate effectively and build strong interpersonal relationships across all levels of the organization, with excellent leadership and consensus-building skills Drive continuous improvement in productivity, cost control, service, inventory accuracy, housekeeping, and safety Achieve efficiency and production objectives while maintaining quality standards Motivate your team to collaborate and perform at their best Develop, monitor, and achieve financial plans and budgets Manage projects within tight timeframes and budget constraints Operate in a way that maximizes productivity and supports corporate profitability Develop and maintain systems, processes, and procedures to ensure inventory accuracy Leverage your proficiency in WMS systems to enhance inventory control and accuracy Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or related area At least 6-8 years management experience (10-12 in lieu of degree) with a progressive track record of increasing responsibility in distribution, logistics or manufacturing environment Experience managing a large exempt workforce required; Proven proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Projects, etc.) Exceptional ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations to all levels Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field Previous Supply Chain Logistics, Transportation, or Engineering experience Continuous improvement and lean manufacturing expertise A wide range of logistics experience which may include start-ups, business turnarounds, expansion, new technologies, and equipment additions Change management including products and process Experience with the implementation and execution of final mile home delivery solutions. Specifically, the preparation and delivery of high-quality furniture to a customer's home and/or to retail locations.
