Position Title: Physician (Neurology) - Fort Carson, Colorado

• Provide care for patients with Traumatic Brain Injury within the Neurology specialty, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment of outpatients.
• Offer evaluations and recommendations for neurology-related issues in the referral area via phone consultations, telemedicine, and assessment of air evacuation patients when necessary.
• Prepare and dictate medical summaries for medical retention boards.
• Draft physical profiles, medical evaluation boards, fitness for duty assessments, and other relevant documentation as required.
• Supervise, instruct, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical students, interns, residents, and fellows.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Eligibility: Open to U.S. Citizens

To qualify, candidates must fulfill the educational and experiential criteria outlined below. Relevant experience includes both paid and unpaid roles, such as volunteer work through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, community, student, social). All qualifying experiences, including volunteer work, will be considered. Your resume should clearly detail your relevant experience; if qualifying through education, transcripts will be required as part of your application.

• Degree: Must hold a Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from an accredited institution in the U.S. or Canada. Accreditation must be recognized by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association, the Association of American Medical Colleges, the Liaison Committee on Medical Education, or the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation.
• For degrees obtained from foreign medical schools, education must be equivalent to that of accredited U.S. institutions, demonstrated by permanent certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates or successful completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
• Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, unrestricted license as a Physician from a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
• Graduate Training: Candidates must have at least one year of supervised clinical experience post-degree, such as a one-year internship or the first year of a residency program in an accredited facility.

Applicants must have successfully completed an accredited residency in Neurology, along with equivalent experience totaling at least four years. Note that experience cannot substitute for the required residency training.

If selected for this position, a salary quote will not be provided at the time of the initial job offer. The salary determination process will commence after the job offer is accepted, involving the Activity Compensation Panel to establish your starting salary based on base pay and market pay.
