Description Summary Huntington’s internship programs provide emerging talent with meaningful, hands‑on experience aligned to their area of study. Over the course of the interns’ time at Huntington, they gain exposure to key business functions across all segments of the organization. An intern’s experience should be focused on professional growth, skill development, and practical application of academic learning. Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. The experience also includes immersion in Huntington’s award‑winning culture through community involvement and team‑based activities. Internship Opportunities at Huntington Huntington offers internship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in an academic program and seeking practical, hands‑on experience in their field of study. Internships take place during a defined period of time and are available across all business segments. Rising juniors (Winter 2028 or Spring 2029 grads) may participate in Huntington's Foundations Program, an 8‑week, regionally focused experience where students partner directly with a manager and team, contribute to meaningful projects, build professional skills, and explore career opportunities across Huntington and the financial services industry. Rising seniors (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 grads) may participate in the Enterprise Internship Program, an 11‑week, role‑aligned experience where students work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives. In addition to hands‑on project work, participants gain exposure to executive leadership, participate in Huntington's innovation project, and build connections that may lead to future full‑time opportunities. All interns participate in a variety of developmental and professional activities designed to support learning and exposure to the organization. Duties & Responsibilities Collaborate directly with your manager Support organization and department initiatives Provide recommendations to improve your department Work both independently and within a team Exhibit a professional, business‑like demeanor Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills Aptitude - proficiency with computer software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite Take initiative to achieve personal career goals Participate in all HNB internship events Energy, enthusiasm, and passion for Huntington! Basic Qualifications High School graduate Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with at least one quarter/semester of school after the completion of the summer program. Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice® applications Preferred Qualifications Course(s) of study applicable to the area of business Ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions Ability to display a positive business presence with management and external personnel A strong interest in Banking as a career Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) No Workplace Type: Office Our Approach to Office Workplace Type Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement.
