Supply Chain ManagerPosition Title: Supply Chain ManagerLocation: Oak Creek, WIOverview:The Supply Chain Manager will have overall responsibility for supervising the process of sourcing and purchasing essential materials for our Client's operations. Reporting directly to the COO and CEO, the Supply Chain Manager's duties include researching raw materials suppliers and comparing costs, negotiating purchase agreements, requesting and maintaining food safety documentation, and developing inventory controls to identify demand for new materials.Responsibilities:Source potential suppliers, supplier management and conduct successful contract negotiations for food and other related categoriesUnderstands all product offerings, packaging, and pricingMonitor compliance of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, specifications, onboarding documents and all related activitiesOrder inventory from vendors and secure shipment arrival timesIdentify gaps in product categories; work to find new vendors/products availableConducting research on potential products and vendors, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best dealDaily inventory checks to place orders for refilling stockWeekly inventory auditsInspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues in a timely mannerUpdating all records of purchased productsHelp manage and support daily logistics including daily transfers and customer shipments from multiple off-site warehousesAssist various teams (Accounting, HR, Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Warehouse, Inventory) with daily tasks and projectsCreate physical vendor check-in flowEstablish and implement vendor check-in timesCommunicate with vendors on delivery days with issues, exceptions, etc.Manage vendor issues log and reconciliationsHandle supplier non-conformances and issue Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs)Onboard new vendors into programManage Vendor Agreement for the pre-order marketAssist different types and sizes of vendors, and address challenges with eachReview vendor listings and identify/correct any misleading or mislabeled informationEnforce basic food safety and sanitation proceduresPerform other duties and projects as assignedQualifications:BS degree in Supply Chain and/or ManagementFood manufacturing experience with at least 3–5 years of experience in a commercial food or bakery plant or restaurant leadership role with increasing managerial responsibilitiesBasic math skills/proficiency requiredProficient with computers (MS Office) and basic office technologiesMust communicate via email, utilize the Internet & ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software programsAbility to communicate in a professional mannerSuperior organizational skillsAbility to work as a contributing member within the teamExperience leading and/or supervising others within the Supply Chain and/or Purchasing functionAdditional Requirements & Performance Expectations:Accessible and responsive to the operational needs and concerns of managementSuperior quality, accuracy, timeliness, reliability, and thoroughness of work performedAbility to gain the trust and respect of the CEO, management, and employeesAbility to communicate effectively and develop good working relationships with employees, customers, vendors, lenders, investors, and the community at large; Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
