Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in executing tailored treatment plans that meet the specific rehabilitation needs of each patient.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and activities designed to retrain their functional abilities.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and engage in manual therapy to alleviate pain and improve function.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously, providing critical updates to supervising Physical Therapists to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Educate patients on home exercise regimens and strategies to promote their recovery outside the clinical setting.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while securing and protecting patient information.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care that addresses physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient population includes a diverse range of individuals, from young athletes to older adults, each facing unique challenges in their recovery journey. Your expertise will be vital in helping these patients regain strength, functionality, and confidence as they navigate their path to recovery.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Strong proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises and administering manual therapy techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems, which will aid in maintaining up-to-date patient documentation and management.
• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedic practices is highly desirable but not mandatory, as we welcome new graduates with clinical rotations to apply.
