Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader

We are now accepting resume/applications for EXPERIENCED Crew Leaders for the Thibodaux, LA & surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:
  • Job Scope:
    • Crew leader is a supervisory position that works in the landscape maintenance division. The role requires a hands-on individual to be responsible for commercial & residential lawn care maintenance crews.
  • Requirements for Position :
    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
    • MUST have Chauffeurs's License
    • Clean MVR
      • Can't contain more than 2 moving violations within last 4 years
    • Min of 1 year experience in landscaping or construction
  • Required Skills:
    • Knowledge of irrigation, landscape lighting, drainage, & other landscape related trades
    • Horticulture knowledge & standards of pruning, planting, digging, & mulching
    • Skilled in various gardening techniques
    • Must be able to operate maintenance equipment including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers.
    • High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

  • Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Cleaning and preparing a job site
    • Apply pesticides to remove harmful insects such as mosquitos, wasps, and ticks.
    • Works in collaboration with architects and garden designers to ensure clients' expectations are met
    • Conduct general maintenance duties such as cleaning walkways, fixing fountains, and other duties.
      • Mowing, edging, and fertilizing lawns
      • Weeding and mulching landscape beds
      • Trimming small trees, hedges and shrubs
      • Removing unwanted, dead or damaged trees
      • Maintains the landscape design and structures in it
    • Planting shrubs, flowers and trees
    • Ensures the growth of flowers and other ornamental plants through the use of fertilizer and plant friendly chemicals
      • Maintains already existing irrigation systems, ensures that the flowers and plants are watered adequately
      • Monitoring and maintaining plant health
      • Watering gardens, lawns and landscapes
    • Maintain equipment in safe and good working condition.
    • Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
    • Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
    • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
    • Lift and carry merchandises/material as needed.
    • Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
    • Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages.
    • Mange house keeping activities when requested.
    • Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
    • Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
    • Good stamina & physical health
    • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions (heat, cold, dusty, dirty and/or wet conditions)
    • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks
  • Documents Required:
    • Driver's License/Identification
    • Social Security Card/Birth Certificate
  • MUST be able to provide PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, & gloves)
  • MUST be able to pass drug screen and criminal background
  • MUST have reliable transportation.
  • Pay:
    • $15.00 - $17.00
    • Weekly Pay
    • Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
  • Schedule:
    • 8 - 10 Hour Days
    • Monday - Friday (weekends as needed)
  • Duration of Job: Temp to Hire
