Your Opportunity The Albany, NY office is looking for anAviation Project Managerto join our team to help manage projects and grow our Albany Aviation group! This position will be responsible for helping grow our team and our aviation business out of the Albany office. It will also include winning, managing and delivering projects for clients at commercial service airports, general aviation airports and Department of Defense airport facilities within our Airport Infrastructure Sub-sector. Projects will include aviation infrastructure conceptual and final designs, technical reports and presentations, airspace analyses, master plan updates and other planning studies, construction or rehabilitation of airfield pavements such as runways, taxiways and aprons, and other miscellaneous improvements. This individual will work closely with the Albany Aviation Team Leader and the Airport Infrastructure Sector Leader to manage and grow the Albany Aviation Team. This individual will lead most aspects of projects from initial scoping through construction and project close-out. Your Key Responsibilities Interface directly with clients that include various Airport Authorities, State Aviation Authorities, and Department of Defense representatives. Learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of clients’ needs and standards and upcoming Capital Improvement Program(CIP) projects. Lead design objectives and advance airport projects through completion and final close-out. Prepare project Scope of Services and engineering fees, establish project goals, milestones, and procedures, define roles and responsibilities, coordinate projectresources, and monitor projectprogress. Work with the design team on deliverables, including preparation of drawings utilizingAutoCAD Civil 3D, preparation of project specifications and construction costestimates. Prepare grant administration paperwork for the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA’s) Airport Improvement Program (AIP), as well as State grantadministration. Provide guidance to Resident Engineers during construction with the ability and confidenceto solve problems asneeded. Lead the preparation of proposals and statements ofqualifications. Actively participates in the marketing process by delivering quality work, providingexcellent client service, and assisting with projectpursuits. Take an active mentoring role; encourages, motivates, and develops others for highperformance; ensures that mistakes become learningexperiences. Your Capabilities And Credentials Experience with the FAA’s Airport Improvement Program procedures and the FAA’sAdvisory Circulars ispreferred. Strong aviation infrastructure design experience. Ability to manage all aspects of airport infrastructure projectdevelopment. Experience in successful aviation project pursuits including identifying opportunities,client engagement, developing teaming strategies, and developingproposals. Strong ability to review designs for quality and completeness. Strong client interaction and relationshipskills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, strong attentiveness todetail. Willingness to learn new skills and interface with multiple projectmanagers with a focus on mentoring staff and nurturing organic growth within a dynamic team environment. Education And Experience Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or relatedfield Minimum of 7 years of design, project management, or construction administration experience relating to airport infrastructure. Must have an active U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New York. Candidate will primarily work in an office setting inAlbany, NY.Occasional field work may be required. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week, depending on business needs. Pay Range Locations in MN, OH, VT, & Various CA, NY Areas-$90,900.00 - $131,800.00 Annually Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
