Mobile Designer

Set the standard for exceptional mobile design at Gallup and shape how mobile thinking informs product decisions. As a mobile designer at Gallup, you’ll own the design of Gallup’s mobile experience across our portfolio of iOS and Android apps and the broader mobile surface. You’ll ship excellent mobile work while influencing how product managers scope work and how cross-functional partners think about mobile from the start. You’ll partner closely with mobile engineering and the broader product design team to ensure our mobile experiences feel native, intentional and world-class. What You’ll Do Own mobile design across Gallup’s mobile apps on iOS and Android Drive a mobile-first mindset across the product organization, ensuring mobile is considered up front by product managers, designers, researchers and engineers Champion mobile-first user research by partnering with researchers to study mobile-specific behaviors and translate those insights into product decisions Collaborate with mobile engineering on feasibility, platform conventions and interaction patterns Contribute mobile-specific patterns to the design system and push for parity between mobile and web Partner with web product designers to align concepts, flows and UX decisions across platforms What Makes You Stand Out Mobile craft mastery: You have shipped polished, high-quality mobile work and bring a refined understanding of iOS and Android conventions, gestures and interaction patterns. Platform fluency with judgment: You know when to follow Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design and when thoughtful deviation creates a better experience. Systems thinking: You see how mobile and web connect and can establish shared patterns, language and parity without allowing the surfaces to drift apart. Intellectual curiosity: You instinctively question assumptions, clarify the underlying problem and help teams align around what truly needs to be solved. Credible influence: You confidently advocate for sound strategy and mobile-first thinking, bringing others along through clarity of reasoning rather than authority. Engineering partnerships: You are comfortable discussing feasibility and technical trade-offs and can collaborate with engineers to find elegant, practical solutions. What You Need Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction or a related field, or equivalent experience, required At least six years of product design experience with significant mobile experience required, preferably spanning both B2C and B2B Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped mobile work on iOS, Android or both required Fluency in platform conventions including Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design required Demonstrated ability to align design across web and mobile surfaces required Strong visual and interaction design fundamentals required Experience partnering closely with engineering on feasibility and trade-offs required Experience designing for B2B or productivity mobile applications preferred Prototyping experience using tools such as Framer, Origami, ProtoPie or comparable preferred Background in assessment, learning or wellness mobile experiences preferred A commitment to working on-site at Gallup’s Omaha office at least three days per week required Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship About Gallup At Gallup, we change the world, one client at a time, through extraordinary analytics and advice on everything important facing humankind. We also offer an estimated annual salary range of $97,000-$126,000 for this role. Salaries are based on a variety of factors, including an individual’s education, experience and skills.
