Overview: Piedmont Henry Emergency Department 75000-90000 visits per year Licensed for 59 beds 3/4:1 Patient to RN Ratio Level III trauma center Triage and Assessment of patient complaint Medical screening exam by a qualified medical provider and treatment plan based on assessment Appropriate Drug Therapy Management of critically ill patients Patient discharge education Fully Accredited Stroke Center Recently added 18 bed Cardiac Observation Unit that works closely with ED Multidisciplinary team in the ED includes: ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C-RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience and Patient Access. Responsibilities: The Patient Care Tech, under the supervision of licensed clinical staff, provides care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, demonstrating competency with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the clinical setting and hospital policy. Education: H.S.
