BaryCon is hiring an experienced Piping / Passivation Superintendent for an onsite assignment in Holly Springs, North Carolina.

IMPORTANT SCHEDULE AND START REQUIREMENTS

• Night shift only

• 5–6 days per week

• Approximately 50–60 hours per week

• Start date: ASAP

• Onsite in Holly Springs, NC

• Benefited W-2 employment with BaryCon

The Superintendent will lead daily field planning and execution for hygienic/high-purity piping and passivation activities. This is a hands-on site-leadership role responsible for coordinating craft and contractors, maintaining safe and productive work, tracking progress, and ensuring piping systems are prepared and executed correctly for passivation and turnover.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily piping and passivation planning, work sequencing and field coordination

• Supervise general foremen, foremen, craft personnel and subcontractors

• Read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics and construction drawings

• Mark up P&IDs and identify flow paths and system boundaries for passivation

• Coordinate hygienic/high-purity piping installation, testing, flushing, passivation and turnover

• Apply lockout/tagout requirements and reinforce safe work practices

• Monitor schedule, productivity, quality and field progress

• Coordinate RFIs, change conditions, material needs and contractor interfaces

• Support walkdowns, punch-list completion, system turnover and documentation

• Use Bluebeam for drawing review, markups and field coordination

• Maintain clear communication with project, construction, safety and quality teams

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 8 years of construction-site experience

• At least 8 years as a General Foreman, Superintendent and/or Construction Manager

• Direct hands-on onsite piping experience

• Demonstrated hygienic/high-purity process-piping experience

• Demonstrated passivation experience, including understanding of passivation flow paths

• Pharmaceutical or similarly regulated process-facility experience

• Current OSHA 30 certification

• Practical lockout/tagout experience

• Proficiency reading P&IDs and isometric drawings

• Bluebeam experience

• Ability and willingness to work night shift onsite, 5–6 days and approximately 50–60 hours per week

• Authorization to work in the United States; any sponsorship requirement must be disclosed during screening

Preferred experience

• Stainless-steel hygienic piping systems

• Pressure testing, flushing, walkdowns, punch lists and turnover

• Mechanical quality documentation and field coordination

• Leading large craft teams and multiple subcontractors

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required.

COMPENSATION AND OVERTIME

• Regular-time W-2 pay: $50–$60 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

• This position is classified as non-exempt.

• Hours worked over 40 in a workweek will be paid at 1.5 times the employee’s regular rate of pay, in accordance with applicable federal and North Carolina law.
