Job Summary

Seeking dependable and hardworking Tortilla Packaging Associates to join our food production team. Employees will assist with packaging tortilla products, preparing boxes, shrink-wrapping finished products, and organizing products for shipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Pack tortilla products according to company standards.
• Remove tortillas from the conveyor belt and assist with production line activities.
• Assemble boxes and prepare packaging materials.
• Break down and dispose of empty cardboard boxes properly.
• Shrink-wrap finished products.
• Palletize and organize packaged products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Follow instructions from supervisors and production leads.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and product quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
• Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and physical labor.
• Previous food production or packaging experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Standing for extended periods, potentially 8 hours or more per shift.
• Frequent walking and repetitive movements.
• Regular bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to lift and handle materials weighing approximately 10–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, as applicable to the essential job functions.
• Ability to work in a production environment and perform manual packaging tasks.

Dress Code and Food Safety Requirements

Employees must follow all company hygiene and food safety policies.

• White clothing is required.
• Non-slip shoes are required.
• No jewelry is permitted in the production area.
• Nails must meet company food safety standards.
• Fake eyelashes are not permitted.
• Required PPE, such as gloves, hairnets, and masks when applicable, must be worn as directed.

Work Schedule and Availability

• Full-time position.
• Regular schedule: 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.
• Must be available for overtime and weekend work as needed.
