Associate Specialist, Accounting

Overview:The Special Projects Accounting Team supports strategic business initiatives that drive organizational efficiency, optimize tax structures, and ensure compliance with global financial reporting requirements. The Associate Specialist, Accounting will support global tax restructuring, legal entity transactions, and corporate reorganization initiatives through the preparation and analysis of accounting entries, stand-alone unaudited US GAAP financial statements, financial analyses, and other compliance-related deliverables. This role will collaborate closely with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and external advisors across multiple jurisdictions.Responsibilities:Prepare and record accounting entries associated with global tax restructuring, legal entity simplification, and other strategic corporate initiatives.Analyze financial impacts of restructuring activities and maintain supporting documentation for accounting conclusions and audit requirements.Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to project accounting and restructuring transactions.Support reporting requirements by preparing financial analyses, project-related reports, stand-alone unaudited US GAAP financial statements, governmental filings, and other deliverables associated with global tax restructuring and legal entity restructuring initiatives.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Tax, Legal, Treasury, and regional finance organizations, to gather information and ensure accurate accounting treatment.Perform account reconciliations and variance analyses related to restructuring and tax optimization initiatives.Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries related to assigned projects.Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance controls, and improve reporting efficiency.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required; Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.0 – 3 years of accounting, finance, tax, audit, or related experience.Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts; exposure to tax accounting or legal entity restructuring activities is a plus.Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex transactions and summarize findings effectively.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large data sets.Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic, global environment.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.Self-motivated team player with a continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn new accounting, tax, and reporting processes.Job SummaryCity: IrvingState/Province: Texas
