Job Description:

• This field-based Business Development Manager role is responsible for driving territory growth across the Northeast by acquiring new customers and expanding sales of sign and graphics films within the automotive segment.

Job Summary

• Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth across an assigned Northeast territory through proactive outbound prospecting and field visits.
• Complete a minimum of 20-25 meaningful customer conversations per day on office days using structured time-blocking and a defined sales roadmap.
• Visit 5-10 accounts per day while traveling, prioritizing large prospect accounts while balancing maintenance and to-be-qualified relationships.
• Leverage Salesforce and map guide tools to plan, execute, and document all travel days, customer visits, phone calls, texts, and emails.
• Analyze sales data regularly to identify trends, evaluate territory performance, and uncover growth opportunities.
• Respond to missed calls and texts within 2 hours and missed emails within 24 hours to maintain high responsiveness standards.
• Participate in a minimum of bi-weekly territory reviews with an internal sales representative to align on pipeline and priorities.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2-4 years of field-based or territory sales experience with a demonstrated hunter mindset and proactive outbound approach.
• Proven ability to manage a multi-state territory, plan travel efficiently, and execute 3-4 days per week in the field (approximately 60% travel).
• Proficiency in Salesforce or a comparable CRM, with disciplined habits around logging notes, creating follow-up tasks, and updating account statuses.
• Strong account management skills with clear examples of exceeding activity metrics and driving gross margin growth.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the Northeast territory.
• Genuine interest in and appreciation for the automotive industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in industrial distribution (examples include companies such as Grainger or Fastenal) or comparable B2B sales environments.
• Experience covering multi-state territories with a high volume of daily account visits.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
