Our client is a fast-growing, private equity–backed practice management company specializing in providing operational, financial, and strategic support to dermatology practices nationwide. The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting integration of new practices into the financial systems. What you’ll be doing: Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial data. Support consolidation of financial results across multiple practice entities. Partner with FP&A to provide variance analysis and operational insights. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting operations. Ensure compliance with internal controls, PE reporting requirements, and relevant regulations. Assist with integration of newly acquired practices, including onboarding to financial systems, chart of accounts mapping, and process alignment. Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits and tax preparation. Mentor and develop a small accounting team, fostering professional growth and accountability. What you need to bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Experience in a multi-entity or healthcare services environment strongly preferred. Prior exposure to private equity–backed companies a plus. Strong understanding of US GAAP and month-end close best practices. Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
