About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to play a pivotal role in supporting active duty special operations forces. The CDO will be responsible for leading and managing the organization's fundraising efforts, with a focus on providing the necessary financial resources to support the mission. This includes developing and implementing strategic fundraising plans, cultivating donor relationships, and overseeing the execution of fundraising events and campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising, with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience, and a demonstrated ability to raise significant funds annually. In addition to fundraising, the CDO will be involved in managing projects and teams, and must have a strong background in this area. The role requires a deep respect and appreciation for the military, as well as experience in handling sensitive and confidential information. The successful candidate will be a skilled communicator, with excellent public speaking, oral, and written skills, and will be proficient in computer and technology. The position may involve national and international travel, and the CDO will be expected to be available as needed. A proactive and dedicated approach to supporting the mission of the organization is essential.
