This role involves performing detailed quality inspections on door hardware components produced by machines, ensuring each piece meets established standards. You will count and document parts accurately while working in a fast-paced production environment that requires consistent focus and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual quality inspections on door hardware pieces produced by machines to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Use measuring tools, including a tape measure, to verify dimensions and confirm parts meet required specifications.
• Accurately count parts and maintain clear, legible documentation of inspection results and production counts.
• Identify and report any defects, inconsistencies, or nonconforming products to the appropriate personnel.
• Work as a production worker on the line, supporting continuous workflow and meeting production goals.
• Sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive inspection and measurement tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.
• Follow all established procedures, guidelines, and safety practices during inspection and production activities.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing general labor tasks in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use a tape measure accurately for quality control and measurement tasks.
• Experience with visual and measurement-based quality control or inspection work.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail to identify defects and ensure accurate counts and documentation.
• Basic ability to count, record, and document quantities and inspection findings clearly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a production worker or inspector in a manufacturing setting.
• Comfort working with door hardware or small mechanical components.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions consistently.
• Reliability and punctuality in a structured, shift-based work environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing and production facility operating on a first-shift schedule. You will work around machinery that punches out door hardware pieces and will spend much of the day at or near the production line. The role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing repetitive inspection and measurement tasks. You will regularly use tools such as tape measures and work in a setting where accuracy, safety, and cleanliness are important. The environment is structured and process-driven, with clear procedures for quality control and documentation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
