A Day in the Life

The U.S. Sales Compensation team supports 11 Operating Units across Medtronic’s Cardiovascular and Neuroscience portfolios, as well as the Global Commercial Office. The team administers sales compensation programs, maintains commission systems, supports compliance activities, and partners with Sales Finance, Total Rewards, and Information Technology (IT) to ensure accurate and effective compensation operations. As a Sales Compensation Administration Analyst, you will support the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of sales compensation programs and systems. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate commission processing, maintain system integrity, support audits and compliance activities, and help deliver enhancements that improve sales compensation operations. Primary Responsibilities Administer commission and incentive compensation processing within the Varicent system. Support sales employee promotions, compensation changes, and sales incentive programs. Partner with Information Technology (IT) to maintain and enhance sales compensation systems and processes. Gather business requirements and support the implementation of system enhancements and reporting improvements. Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and validation activities for commission calculations, system updates, and reports. Provide analytical support and reporting for business partners and stakeholders. Complete monthly and quarterly commission audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control activities. Document and maintain compensation processes, procedures, and workflow standards while identifying opportunities for process improvement. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of compensation, payroll, or finance experience OR Advanced degree. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting compensation, payroll, finance, or related business processes. Experience working with data, reporting, audits, or business process administration. Experience collaborating across functions to support operational or system-related initiatives. Experience with Varicent, Workday, or other compensation management systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with analytical tools and quantitative or qualitative data analysis techniques. Experience supporting customer-facing or high-interaction business environments requiring confidentiality and attention to detail. Knowledge of Medtronic products, business functions, sales policies, and compensation processes. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$68,000.00 - $102,000.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
