An established CPA firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (Tax)

The Senior Accountant will work closely with firm leadership, support a diverse client base, and contribute to the firm's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, S-Corporation, and trust tax returns.

• Research federal and state tax regulations and stay current on tax law changes.

• Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

• Communicate directly with clients to obtain information, answer questions, and explain tax results and recommendations.

• Identify tax planning opportunities and collaborate with leadership on implementation strategies.

• Respond to IRS and state tax notices and assist with audits and related correspondence.

• Maintain accurate and organized client records within the firm's workflow systems.

• Collaborate with accounting, tax, and bookkeeping teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

• Support process improvements and assist with mentoring junior staff when needed.

QualificationsRequired

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience within a CPA firm.

• Strong experience preparing business and individual tax returns.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred

• CPA license or progress toward CPA certification.

• Experience with tax planning and tax research.

• Prior client-facing experience in a professional services environment.
