School Bus Driver

Location: Plainview, NY
Job Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Flexible Split Shift – Morning & Afternoon

We are seeking dependable and safety-conscious School Bus, Van, and SUV Drivers to transport students safely and reliably to and from school. • $5,000 sign-on bonus for fully licensed NY CDL drivers with A, B, or C licenses and P & S endorsements
• Starting van driver rate of $25.34/hour for candidates with the required CDL and endorsements

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school according to assigned routes and schedules
• Monitor traffic, road conditions, and student behavior throughout each trip
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local traffic laws and transportation requirements
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Assist students with boarding and exiting the vehicle when needed
• Maintain a safe, professional, and supportive environment for all passengers

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Minimum of 1 year of driving experience
• Valid NYS driver's license
• Valid NYS CDL Class A or B with P & S endorsements for school bus drivers, or Class C with P & S endorsements for van drivers, or willingness to obtain the required CDL through paid training
• Non-CDL candidates must hold a valid driver's license and successfully complete required CDL permit training
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
• Must maintain compliance with applicable state and federal CDL requirements
• Strong commitment to passenger safety and reliability
• Ability to work morning and afternoon split shifts
