Medical Assistant (MA-C / MA-R) Urology

Location: Seattle, WA | Outpatient Clinic

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Temp-to-Hire | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | MondayFriday, no weekends | 4 days/week 7:45 AM5:00 PM; 1 day/week 8:00 AM12:00 PM (half-day alternates based on physician OR schedule) | Candidate must be open and willing to convert to a permanent position at the conclusion of the contract those unable or unwilling to convert are not eligible for this role

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and document vital signs, patient history, medications, and allergies during patient rooming
• Set up and assist with urology procedures including cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, and bladder scans (PVRs)
• Establish and maintain a sterile field for procedural cases
• Operate specialty equipment including Trophon, ultrasound biopsy machine, and bladder scanner
• Collect and accurately label patient specimens
• Float to a secondary clinic location on Mondays; reliable personal transportation (non-public transit) is required

Required Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential required; Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) may be considered with applicable experience in a procedurally intensive clinic setting (e.g., Urology, Otolaryngology, or Dermatology) MA-P and MA-HT credentials are not eligible
• Minimum 6 months of experience working as an MA-C in an adult and/or pediatric outpatient clinic setting
• Proficiency in rooming patients and performing clinical intake duties
• Reliable personal transportation required; candidate must have no additional scheduling restrictions

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience in a procedurally heavy clinic such as Urology, Otolaryngology, or Dermatology
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience with specialty urology equipment (Trophon, ultrasound biopsy machine, bladder scanner)
