Litigation AssistantHERS Advisors has partnered with a leading business law firm in Orange County (hybrid) who is looking for an eager Litigation Assistant to join their successful team.Responsibilities for Litigation Assistant:Assistant to Litigation Department: Perform general case managementPrepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, legal memorandaFile court documentsIdentify and submit legal documents for docketing, court and case deadlines using firm softwareManagement of ongoing assigned court and case deadlinesAssist attorneys with reviewing, organizing, and summarizing case materials, mail, and other case related documentsAssist in preparation of matrices, charts, and spreadsheets as neededAssist in preparation of privilege logCreate, revise, and proofread documents with high accuracyAssist with mediation and trial preparationKeep accurate time records for billable tasksRequirements for Litigation Assistant:Prior litigation experience as a legal secretary and/or junior paralegal requiredUndergraduate degree and/or ABA approved paralegal certificate highly preferredAbility to become proficient in state and federal court filingsProficiency with Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint)Ability to learn and utilize document management firm software to include MicrosoftSalary range: 70-100k.
