Network Engineer - Manufacturing & Wireless Infrastructure

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer - Manufacturing & Wireless Infrastructure for a Contract with a client in Winston Salem, NC. The ideal candidate will support enterprise and manufacturing wireless networks by deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco Catalyst WiFi and switching infrastructure.

Rate Range: $38/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Network Engineer - Manufacturing & Wireless Infrastructure Job Responsibilities include:

• Support deployment, configuration, and optimization of Cisco Catalyst wireless networks across enterprise and manufacturing environments.
• Troubleshoot WiFi connectivity issues including coverage gaps, roaming, and client onboarding.
• Assist with Layer 2 operations such as switch provisioning, VLANs, cabling, patching, and hardware refreshes.
• Provide basic Layer 3 support (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) under guidance for enterprise connectivity issues.
• Use Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) for device provisioning, inventory management, and basic troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with project teams and site personnel to support network deployments, maintenance, and documentation updates.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Networking, Engineering, or equivalent handson experience.
• 3-5 years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.
• Strong handson experience with Cisco wireless (Catalyst) and LAN switching, including VLANs, cabling, and device provisioning.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and ability to troubleshoot WiFi and Layer 2/3 issues in enterprise or manufacturing environments.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $40.00 per hour
