We are looking for a compassionate and reliable team member to support individuals experiencing Alzheimer’s and age‑related dementia in a structured, home‑like environment. Position Summary The Adult Center Specialist works as part of a team to support participants and their families by providing direct care, engaging activities, and a safe, supportive environment. This role focuses on maintaining participant dignity, promoting independence, and ensuring services are aligned with individual needs. Key Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to participants, including assistance with daily living needs and medications as appropriate Plan and facilitate recreational, social, and daily living activities Monitor participant well‑being and communicate changes to appropriate staff Maintain accurate documentation, including daily notes and activity records Support development and implementation of participant care plans Assist with snack preparation, clean‑up, and maintaining a clean, organized environment Follow all safety procedures, including emergency response when needed Ensure facility security through opening and closing procedures Enter participant information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system Participate in trainings, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development Maintain compliance with all agency, state, and federal requirements Perform other duties as needed Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Two years of related experience in human or social services preferred Experience working with seniors with Alzheimer’s or dementia preferred Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus Must meet agency driving requirements (21+ and licensed for at least 3 years) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong communication skills with participants, families, and team members Ability to assess needs and support both individual and group activities Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR systems Reliable transportation and good driving record Required Certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire) CPR and First Aid (Agency Provided) Safety‑Care Certification (Agency Provided) Additional Requirements Annual PPD test Hepatitis B immunization or you may waive Working Conditions & Physical Requirements This position involves medium physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting participants. #J-18808-Ljbffr
