Responsibilities

• Assist with patient check-in and greeting, creating a welcoming environment in the lobby area
• Utilize phlebotomy skills to collect clinical specimens accurately and safely
• Help maintain the integrity and cleanliness of the waiting area
• Provide support with patient breaks when other phlebotomists are unavailable
• Answer patient questions and address concerns with care and compassion
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records and documentation
• Ensure a safe, professional, and efficient environment for patients and staff
• Follow established policies and procedures for specimen collection and processing
• Support staffing needs by covering for breaks and fill in as needed

Required Skills

• High level of customer service skills in a client-facing environment
• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion
• Experience with patient check-in procedures using kiosks or handheld tablets
• Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks
• Strong communication skills and attention to confidentiality

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience (retail, home health aide, etc.) required
• Phlebotomy experience is required, including internship or externship experience to learn specimen collection
• Reliable transportation within a 20-25 minute commute to the worksite
• Availability to work scheduled shifts, punctuality, and reliability are essential
• Basic keyboard and data entry skills
• Experience in a clinical setting or with specimen collection is preferred
