Responsibilities

• Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures to ensure safety and accuracy.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining proper documentation and records.
• Explain procedures to patients to create a trusting environment and alleviate any concerns.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence in daily tasks.
• Ensure timely completion of duties while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform specimen collection and processing with confidence and professionalism.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Required Skills

• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong phonological and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
• Proficiency in keyboard/data entry for accurate record-keeping.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; more than one year preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is a plus.
• Must list home city/commute time within 20-25 minutes to the worksite on resume.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite is required; being dropped off by bus or rideshare is not considered reliable.
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime, with punctuality and full shift attendance essential.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
