Field Services Engineering Technician

Zimmer Biomet seeks a Field Services Engineering Technician to provide onsite and remote technical support for surgical devices across assigned regions. The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and field repair of medical devices, with significant travel and collaboration with hospital operating room staff.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair Zimmer Biomet surgical systems
• Schedule and perform preventative and corrective maintenance at customer locations as required
• Assess technical problems in high-pressure operating room environments and escalate appropriately
• Serve as liaison between company and customers regarding device performance and functionality
• Respond timely to customer inquiries and provide product feedback to quality and R&D teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or associate degree/trade school in biomedical equipment technology or electronics
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• 2–4 years of field support, engineering, or customer-facing experience, preferably in medical devices
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage own schedule based on business needs
• Willingness to travel up to 80 percent and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 base plus annual bonus
