Postdoctoral Researcher

General Description The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Johns Hopkins University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position focused on developing electrochemical processes for chemical separations and resource recovery. Research areas include electrochemical separations for critical mineral recovery, carbon capture and utilization, and sustainable chemical manufacturing. The successful candidate will conduct experimental research involving electrochemical system design, membrane and electrode materials, reactor development, process optimization, and mechanistic studies. The position also offers opportunities to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and contribute to proposal development, mentoring of graduate students, and dissemination of research through publications and presentations. Qualifications Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, or a related field Strong background in electrochemistry, chemical separations, membrane science, or related areas Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed journals Excellent written and oral communication skills Salary Range The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
