You can learn about our benefits here: Job Summary A Research Analyst I, with continuous work review, analyzes data and statistics in a city agency. The work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents receive close supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek. Work is performed in an office where working conditions are normal. Work requires minimal physical exertion. Minimum Qualifications Education: Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with a course in quantitative methods or research methods. Experience: Have one year of experience in collecting, compiling and interpreting data. Equivalency Notes: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of basic research techniques and methodology. Knowledge of English usage, grammar and writing techniques. Ability to collect, compile, verify and review data and statistics. Ability to prepare data and statistical reports. Ability to speak and write effectively. Ability to deal with others effectively. Probation All persons, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation. Eligibility Qualified candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise, for a period of at least six months. Education Accreditation Applicants’ education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Education credentials obtained out of the US must be evaluated for US equivalency.
