We have part-time and full-time lifeguard opportunities at the Red Bank branch of the YMCA of the Jersey Shore for the daytime shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor swimming pool activities and maintain a safe aquatic environment.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
• Enforce pool safety rules and YMCA policies.
• Conduct pool area inspections and safety checks.
• Perform routine water testing and document results.
• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests.
• Attend required trainings and in-service sessions.
• Support a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
• Perform additional functions as assigned

Required:

• Current Lifeguard Certification (YMCA, Red Cross, or equivalent)
• CPR/AED Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Ability to successfully complete swim and rescue skills assessments
• Minimum age requirement as required by state regulations

Preferred:

• Previous lifeguard experience
• Experience working with children and families
• Customer service experience
